Quick Reminder

When your life turns into turmoil and you lose a sense of touch with yourself and reality. It is helpful to remind yourself of who you are: In your diary or journal that you keep track of your thoughts, write something, anything, about yourself. It is a good feeling to know who you are, especially during the tough times.

You are a great person. You are special, powerful and gifted. You are intelligent, brave, you are strong. You are different. When people look at you, they see nothing, but beauty. YOU really are the creator of this universe, let’s think about it. You get to choose what you want to accomplish in LIFE and there is no one on earth who can stop you. YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE!

Without you, life would be meaningless, because you alone brings value to this world.

    1. Yes, which is why, the world would be meaningless. The reason the world is the way that it is, its because of the different values that each and everyone of us contributes to the 🌎 🙈☺️

  2. Thanks so much for this, it came at the exact right time. As something has triggered turmoil for me lately and turned my life into more of a question mark. Luckily, I still continue to inspire others and that makes me feel wonderful and blessed. I am trying hard to get my mind back on track while faced with a difficult situation that is pushing me to change direction in a way I do not really want, as it is a side track from what my ultimate dreams are.

    1. Thank you so much for responding to this. I am so glad that it inspired you! I am so proud of you to not let negative feelings/thoughts to alter your direction! Definitely keep moving and keep striving for the best! Keep doing what you love and keep helping others, because, as my mother told me once, when you help others, you are also helping yourself! 🙈

      1. I just PM you a hi on Facebook. I hope you know you have a gift and talent. You state what others cannot see, even if it is in front of them. Amazing. You should be a speaker on stage. X

      3. I have Inspirational Speaker in London as one of my intended goals. I am currently changing my Quirky Academy into an online training centre for entrepreneurs, start-ups and creatives – with tutors who are experts in their fields. I hope to have a public speaking course in there in the future – I am still doing the tech but to set it up first. You will be an excellent motivational speaker – 100%. Do you do youtubing?

      4. 🙈😊😊😊😊😊 That would be great! You have an amazing idea. Take the ball, run with it and make it happen. You have the vision, bring it to life! I would, if I were you, create a center like an after school program for struggling youth, where they would go, listen to speech, read, play, etc, just to get away from their chaotic life and misty of all, to get inspired! They need to be inspired! You are doing great! Please let me know when it is up and running!

      5. Hi Oristel, I am not sure about the after school thing as I don’t really know what you mean about that and it sounds like something you know more about. I work mostly with entrepreneurs, small businesses and creative types. Writing is my personal hugest passion and teaching people from complete scratch about social media. And helping people to embrace their quirky and be their true authentic self – always.

I also promote asexuality and call myself an abassador for asexuality – I am making huge strides in this respect and it is my destiny to help other asexuals to be themselves and to know they are not alone and to help reach a global audience about this almost unknown sexual orientation. I am a heteroromantic asexual and have a YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/c/asexualisemyasexuallife which is slowly and steadily getting more subscribers – I love youtubing – it is ace. I get many thanks and praise for this work and people want more videos so this is great. I also feel that the Inspiration/Motivational poems I have started to do on my http://www.youtube.com/quirkybooksTV channel are being enjoyed and people want more of these – so this is good. I love being on camera and ad-libbing about stuff that is helpful. Being raw and real.

      7. I will let you know about my Quirky Academy. I am also about to go into print with my Asexual Perspectives book. This will be a game changer by all accounts. My designer for the printed version of my cover is still working on it.

  3. Hi Oristel,
This is a great site. It seems you give motivation to people to bolster their spirit. My daughter suffers from low self-esteem. I’ll tell her about this site.
You liked a comment I made on the Talent is Unbelievable blog, so I came over to thank you and introduce myself.
By the way, I know Shannon from Showers of Blessings who I see here.

    1. Hey Janice, this is a lovely comment. Thanks so much for sharing your daughter’s trouble. I would encourage you, if you haven’t already, to have her write down the positive things about her and all the things that she has accomplished. That way, she will refocus her thinking when negative thoughts start to strike!

  4. Oristel, I sent you a message in FB, but I don’t know if you check your messages there often. I would love it if you joined our private FB group. It’s small with about 10 people in it. You probably know most of them from the blogging world. It’s VERY positive. You can share positive thoughts, messages, posts, etc. I like it because I feel like we push each other each day in a positive way. You would be a great addition! https://www.facebook.com/groups/YourBestSelfIBlack/

  5. Oristel,
One more thing. Tajwarr Fatma (https://lifeaswehaveneverknownit.wordpress.com/2017/04/02/bad-days-sorry-what/) has this great idea to do a themed blog post. We all write about the same theme. She wanted to talk about death and coping with it. You can discuss it in any way your creative mind pulls you. There isn’t a date set yet for the post. I’m participating. Let me know if you want to, and I’ll tell her. Thanks! Great topic!!! ❤️ There is power 💪 in numbers!

      1. I’ll let Taj know. Here is more info. You will have great input!
Tajwarr Fatma said: And not just death. Human loss .Can be anything actually. Like a best friend who you are no longer in terms with, A breakup, which is like the national anthem of my generation, lol, or the death of someone very close like you said Ipuna Black or it can be a divorce or any human loss. They are so many human loss experiences that people go through in their lifetimes. Atleast we can cover a very few. And let people know we are in this together.
Also the lessons it taught us. And all that.
