A Letter to Janice

“Ignore the past and move on with your life,”that’s what they all say. But, only if they know what you had overcome in your life. Moving from one point to the next in our lives isn’t a simple task. It isn’t easy either.  It takes courage. Lots of work. Life is a process. Don’t rush through it. Take your time to enjoy the bliss in this universe. The world  belongs to you. It has always been and will always be. It is in your hands. You decide to do what you want with it. Nobody will dance your dance. Nobody will sing your song of life.

As long as you are here, there is something for you to do. Dreams that you have yet accomplished. Places that you have yet seen and traveled and people who you have yet touched and inspired. Don’t ever be discouraged when life betrayed you because life is complicated and tricky itself. Hence, you will encounter difficulties and get dropped down on your knees regardless, there is no need and room for an extra burden on your shoulders. Never be demoralized by your past experience, the purpose of whatever had happened to you was to straighten and making you wiser. Additionally, don’t let people, another imperfect human being, to deteriorate your life because they will always do you wrong when they know your weakness.

I know.  Sometimes you feel the joy reeling inside your head. You feel it coming from a distance and you run towards it with all your strength. But then, reality strikes. However, whatever circumstances that you are in Janice, remember, always, you may not be where you want to be yet. But, you will certainly be there. Besides, you are getting closer towards it. It’s already there for you to grab it.

Keep climbing that mountain, Janice. Keep on moving and never stop. Don’t stop and turn around even if you think that you leave something behind. Don’t be fooled by that. Keep on moving because you have not forgotten anything. Everything that you need are in front of you.
Keep on moving!

Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, in a theater-centered family, and immigrated to the United States at twelve years old.   2. Such wisdom. Faith is circular as demonstrated in Hebrews 11:1 and it is at that circularity that you have hinted here several times. Not truly knowing you, I can’t say whether you know, possess this knowledge Spiritually or in a school of proofs. Very thought provoking.
